More Info
Valgrisenche is a tiny village, with old houses with stone roofs, and a few recent buildings well integrated into the historic fabric. An isolated stone bell tower that dates back to the late 14th century stands out among the houses and is the only evidence of the old church: the parish church, on the other hand, was rebuilt in 1875 and houses a small museum of sacred art. Instead, an old military structure located on the hill overlooking the village has been converted into a restaurant and hostel for hikers.
Not to be missed is a visit to the headquarters of the Les Tisserands cooperative, which has revived the traditional production of drap: a woolen fabric typical of the valley, made with the ancient looms visible in the atelier where the cooperative also makes custom-made clothes and organizes weaving classes.
Nearby you can choose from various hiking trails, including valleys and mountain lakes.
