More Info

Since it is operated together with the nearby theme park, if there is no space in the rest area, it is possible to stay in the park itself. Various events are organized near the bar and picnic areas.

The village fits into the Valcamonica rock carvings system in that it has as many as three parks on its territory falling within the UNESCO-reported site.

Forty days after Easter, the Ascension Thursday fair (fiéra della Sensa, perhaps inspired by the Venetian Festa della Sensa) takes place: traditionally a livestock fair, today it is a market day occupying all the streets of the town.

St. Savior’s Monastery and the Church of Saints Faustina and Liberata are worth visiting: a legend has been passed down that Saints Faustina and Liberata, lived in penance in a cave in the region near Capo di Ponte. They miraculously intervened to stop with their hands two boulders that threatened the village. Even today near the church dedicated to them, two huge boulders bearing handprints can be seen and are still revered by the local people.

The Naquane National Park of Rock Carvings, the Educational Museum of Prehistoric Art and Life, and the Camonica Valley National Museum of Prehistory deserve special attention.
