Press Release
The three federations of campers, ACTItalia, Federcamping, and Unione Club Amici have jointly written to the trade associations Assocamp and Assofficina about an issue that many members have encountered in the garages where they have turned for technical service on their vehicles.
In particular, it appears that there are few service centers with adequate requirements to be able to perform technical interventions of a certain complexity. What is of concern is the fact that the law, as it stands, places responsibility for summary repair work on the user, as the law does not admit ignorance, even if the professional is regularly in the business.
For information received often the cause of this is that there are few exam sessions (one per year) to then acquire the Ateco codes needed to practice professionally in many areas.
The three Federations therefore call for closer cooperation from the trade associations in charge to jointly propose the implementation of regular refresher courses and bring into compliance those activities that today operate without having all the permits. A first step is definitely the display and communication of the Ateco codes held by the licensed operators so that the user can choose with more confidence and security.
