More Info

The Staging Area is about 4 km from the historic center, nestled in the woods of Casalciprano, a small gem set in the hills of Molise, which tells a fascinating story through its murals, bronze statues and charming alleys that speak of its past and the beauty of daily life.

In the hamlet, curiosity leads the way in the network of winding lanes that lead into the historic center, in a rhythmic up and down of climbs and descents dotted with terraces from which to appreciate breathtaking views ranging from the Montagola to the Matese. The forests, which surround the village, are rich in paths to be traveled both on foot and by bicycle.

The origins of Casalciprano date back to the period of the defensive urbanization of the Biferno valley, promoted by the Lombards around the year 1000. An important historical landmark is the Badiale Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Annunciation, a mystical and sacred place 3 km from the town.

The historic center of Casalciprano, which has remained untouched over the centuries, is an open-air museum of Molise’s rural memory, recounting the traditions, beliefs and customs of daily life in the past. The murals and bronze statues that adorn the village tell stories of courage, toil and hope of ancestors who faced the hardships of life with dignity. Outside the ancient walls are larger spaces such as the square and stately homes built throughout the 1800s. Among them three have been carefully restored: Palazzo Montalbò, Palazzo Fonte and Palazzo Chinno.

In addition to rich history and culture, the area offers extraordinary natural spaces, such as the park around the Badiale Sanctuary, where you can relax and enjoy sports activities surrounded by unspoiled nature.
